A Note for Veterans
If you served, we appreciate it. Veterans get 10% to 15% off regular-priced items at both of our stores. Bring valid military ID and let the budtender know when you check in. Discount aside, our FTExperts are happy to walk you through products and answer real questions.
The intersection of cannabis and veterans’ health has gotten more attention in the last few years. Multiple ongoing studies, including research summarized by the Veterans Affairs Public Health office and the Marijuana Policy Project’s work on expanding medical-marijuana access for veterans, track how veterans across the country are exploring cannabis as part of broader wellness conversations with their providers. We’re not in a position to make any health claims, and we won’t. What we can do is point you to lab-tested products, an experienced team, and a counter where you can ask real questions and get real answers. Our buyers taste and test before anything hits the shelf.
If you’re California-based and curious about veteran-specific cannabis programs in the state, both organizations above are good starting points.

Quieter Picks for the Long Weekend
If a big festival isn’t the move, here are a few lower-key options near each store. The kind of thing that makes the long weekend actually feel long.
Around Santa Ana:
- 4th Street Market: Walk the historic downtown core and stop in for coffee or a snack between the ceremony and whatever’s next.
- Bowers Museum: Open Memorial Day weekend. If you’ve never been, it’s worth the afternoon. About 1 mile from the Santa Ana Cemetery ceremony.
- Discovery Cube Orange County: Hands-on science museum in Santa Ana. Solid pick with kids when the heat picks up after lunch.
Around Port Hueneme:
- Hueneme Beach Park: Uncrowded compared to the bigger Ventura and Oxnard stretches. A quiet place to spend an afternoon.
- Channel Islands Harbor: Ten-minute drive from the store. The kind of low-key marina-town pace that makes a long weekend feel longer.
- The Hueneme Pier itself: Open 24 hours, and the post-ceremony quiet on Memorial Day afternoon is a particular kind of peaceful.
How We’re Handling the Long Weekend at Our Stores
Both of our California shops are open regular hours all weekend, including Memorial Day Monday: Santa Ana 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Port Hueneme 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Same-day delivery is running across our Ventura County and Orange County service areas.
A few practical notes:
- Order ahead if you can. Long-weekend mornings get busy, especially mid-morning Saturday. Ordering ahead from the Santa Ana menu or Port Hueneme menu is the fastest way through the door.
- Specials change. The current weekend specials live on the Port Hueneme specials page and Santa Ana specials page. Those pages are updated the most reliably. Anything you read elsewhere may be a few days behind.
- Plan transportation. If cannabis is part of your weekend, plan ahead. Don’t drive. Both Orange County and Ventura County have rideshare coverage all weekend.
- FTE Rewards. If you’ve been meaning to sign up for FTE Rewards, the long weekend is a fine time to do it. 5% back on every order, plus member-only days through the year.
